Smart CT charity events in 2022

Throughout the whole of 2022 a lot of our amazing employees took part in a variety of charity events raising contributions for our community.

We have a few raising money for Breast Cancer Now, Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day, 2022 ReadiFood Reverse Advent Collection and so many more. We would like to thank everyone who took part and hopefully we can raise lots more money for charities in 2023.

“I chose to mark Breast Cancer Now Wear it Pink Day 20/10/2022 as it was close to my heart as my sister was diagnosed with Breast Cancer age 30. It was good to promote the charity and see all everyone wearing pink and eating cake! Collectively as a Team we raised £360. I would do it again, it’s a bit of fun and raises money for good causes.”
Natasha Francis, Service Delivery Manager

“Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day. I choose this event as Christmas is the season of giving however so many children go without for so many reasons and this event is an opportunity to get people to come together, have some fun but also to make a difference to a child’s life. I enjoyed organising the event as it is great to see people come together for a common cause whilst having fun. Collectively as a Team we raised £115. It’s a great way to bring people together for fun whilst benefiting others, so I would absolutely do it again. I would encourage others to arrange similar events, when you do something that benefits others it makes you feel good about yourself and feeds your soul.”

“I chose the 2022 ReadiFood Reverse Advent Collection. I had read an article on the cost-of-living crisis and more people than ever needing a food bank and felt as though we could give back to our local community. It felt important to remember the members of society who may be struggling – especially at Christmas – and to help where we can. I was thrilled by the generosity of the people who donated! Yes, I would do it again 😊 because charity helps people in need and brings joy. Being kind is just a nice thing to do whether that’s giving money, food donations or time.”
