Responsible for:

Project manage and delivery of SCT’s internal technology developments, technology enhancements and customer engineering projects delivered by third parties. Communicate and document business requirements with the context of the businesses IT systems.

Working relationships:

CEO, Directors, Service Delivery, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Customers, Engineering, third party engineers and third-party technology partners.

Key tasks:

  • Define project scope, goals and results that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and technology partners
  • Effectively communicate and manage project expectations to team members and partners in a timely and clear fashion
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and achievements using appropriate tools and track results
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and solve problem areas
  • Define project success criteria and create recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
  • Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary
  • Prepare system implementations, updates and support tool analysis, tests, documentation, debugging and error correction
  • Develop project plans and associated communications documents
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
  • Motivate & guide project team members and third parties, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
  • From time to time, the company will require the project manager to join in certain areas of the project where their skills can be utilised to support the companies goals
