Accountable to

Engineering Manager

Responsible for

Ensure engineers install, deploy, configure and troubleshoot as required and clients expectations are appropriately managed.

Working relationships

Customers, Engineers, Engineer manager, Service Delivery, Service Desk and Operations.

Key tasks

SCT installs and deploys IT hardware on various client sites along with supporting customers as part of its maintenance business. Project manager activities include;

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Coordinate with the support of the Service Desk the internal & external engineering resources for the flawless execution of projects
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Measure project performance including financial using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Other tasks to ensure successful delivery of projects
  • On-call & overtime available

Core skills

Key skills required:

  • Technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in networking and cabling experience
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills, written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • PRINCE II or equivalent certification is a plus. Formal training can be offered.
