Introduction

Our client required an end-to-end managed solution to update an ageing wide area network across 30 doctor surgeries to survey and deploy routers, firewall and 5G back up devices for enhanced networking performance and management.

Challenge

To develop a fully managed deployment service across 30 sites, replacing a variety of legacy WAN equipment with a new routers, firewall and 5G back up solution. The client required the works to be completed out of business hours with minimal disruption to BAU operations, including the development of a robust installation process, sign off documentation, equipment performance testing and reporting, schedule development/reporting and budget tracking.

Solution

We worked with the client to develop an end-to-end managed deployment solution, from extensive PoC onsite development and testing in the clients mock shop environment and documentation of the process to schedule development and ongoing management, pre-engineer briefing and support, recorded step-by-step installation verification and sign off, and the development of a logistics handling program with returned equipment to be vetted, logged, repackaged and returned to a central client hub for repurposing.

Implementation

We coordinated with the partner to ensure the schedule and run-rate meet their requirements and equipment build and delivery timescales at each stage of the project. Our deployment team have ensured works are completed consistently and to a high standard with comprehensive reporting of deployment progress and signoff presented to the client. Used equipment is returned to our central facilities via our distribution partner and processed by our logistics team who record and organising equipment into reusable and legacy stock prior to return to the client hub.
