New Career Opportunity: Technical Services Manager
Overview
Smart CT is looking for a Technical Services Manager to take responsibility for making sure all warehouse and repair services are managed efficiently and all processes documented and to produce any new process/procedural documents required. This role reports to the Director of Operations.
Location
Twyford (near Reading), Berkshire
Main Responsibilities
The role is responsible for achieving excellent customer satisfaction by delivering timely returns, dispatch, repair information and contract support for services provided by Smart CT and will undertake the following key tasks:
- Use technical knowledge to manage support calls and support bid management.
- Allocation and dispatch of stock.
- Monitoring and updating external customer systems.
- Managing returns and updating Proof of Delivery (POD) information on Smart CT’s incident management system (service now).
- Triage of returned parts.
- Maintain tools and test equipment within the department.
- To perform tests and diagnostics on a range of network and IT equipment.
- To develop and put in place training plans, conducting any appraisals in a timely manner.
- Engagement in projects requiring specific stock management, warranty and returns via the RMA process.
As with all members of Smart CT, the following should also be met:

- Flexibility to carry out other roles within the business.
- Ability to identify training requirements to ensure that the skills required to perform the role are kept up to date and are relevant.
Skills and Experience
- Analysing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution to solve problems.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent IT literacy and ability to use Microsoft Office products and other internal systems.
- Ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- Ability to meet deadlines and maintain high standards even when under pressure.
- Experience in a similar RMA role would also be of benefit.
